GRP Roof lights (Glass Reinforced Plastic) are fibre glass sheets that are used to allow natural daylight to enter a building and are made to fit with Phoenix Steels profiled steel sheeting. The thickness of the sheets of the Skylights are 2.4mm. This ensures minimum risk of breakage, but maximum flexibility.

We supply a comprehensive range of quality Tek fixings, designed for fast and secure installation in steel, aluminium and other metal applications. Our fixings provide exceptional holding power, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability, ensuring the structural integrity of your project.

We pride ourselves on be able to cater all our customers’ needs whether it be a simple 50mm x 50mm or 600mm x 600mm or as many bends as the flashing needs to make it look as sharp as possible. These are the last parts to go on the roof so it’s best to make sure they look right and finish the job well.

The Phoenix Steels Tile Form roofing System is a practical decision both for new and refurbishment projects. This profile fits into all environment and gives an elegant look to your building. For the under structure, only a lightweight batten/purling assembly is required. In refurbished buildings this is an essential benefit, also reducing the cost of the total roofing project. 

The unique high-capacity drainage channel on every tile sheet guarantees the water tightness even in stormy weather. This also contributes to the versatility of the Phoenix systems plus its overall economy. Cross profiles have a dampening effect to reduce noise to a minimum.

The sheets are easy to handle, weighing only 5kg – 7Kg/sq.m. Installation does not require special tools nor special practice further savings are possible due to easy installation. For fastening, self-drilling screws are recommended to eliminate pre-drilling of sheets. The roof systems is ordered cut-to-length, but may require cutting to round pipes & aerials.

This also means savings because no waste material arises. Maintenance requirements are minimal. Touch-up paint is available for visual reparations. However, minor scratches do not affect the durability of the roofing itself.

Box profile are metal sheets with a modern, trapezoidal profile, offering enhanced rigidity and superior water runoff offering you an alternative profile to the traditional corrugated profile. They are available in a range of coatings, including Colourcoat Plastisol, to provide additional protection and longevity.

Overclad installations are ideal in environments where minimal disruption to the business is required. The new overclad system fully encapsulates the existing roof, providing a waterproof solution without the inconvenience and cost of removing the original roof.

At Phoenix Steels, our twin-layer internal lining systems are a cost-effective solution and perfect for insulating buildings. The additional level of insulation stops condensation as well as provides the building with a much more energy-efficient roofing solution.

We stock a large amount of corrugated steel profile sheets and GRP roof lights for the 3″ corrugated sheets, available in lengths up to 12 meters. Standard lengths for the corrugated are 6ft, 8ft, 10ft, and 12ft. All roof lights can be cut to the exact length. The advantage of replacing some of the steel sheets with our GRP roof lights is that they let natural daylight in, saving costs such as electricity.

When fitting our 3″ corrugated steel profile sheets, the fixing is to be put through the top of the profile with one of our self-tapping Tek screws with the water sealant washer. The standard length of fixing should be approx. 45mm to allow for the profile of the sheet and then to allow a solid fix into the purlin.
